What is the Mentor-for-a-Day Program?Over the course of the year more than 1,000 girls in middle and high school will attend the Spirit of Leadership program; a series of inspirational and life changing educational events which includes the highlighted and cherished “Mentor for a day” program. Our Mentors are women leaders from throughout San Diego who volunteer to share their time, perspective and wisdom inspiring attendees to actively live as leaders. The mentor experience creates lasting impressions and ignites change in the lives of many attendees. Each year the Spirit of Leadership hosts three events that feature the Mentor-for-a-Day element – an amazing opportunity for women to share time with San Diego’s rising young leaders. Each year we seek over a hundred mentors to attend one of three mentoring events with our Spirit of Leadership youth attendees. Our goal is to assemble a diverse cross section of professional women from a variety of fields and backgrounds to serve in this “one-day” role at events scheduled throughout the year. The Jenna Druck Center’s Spirit of Leadership program is founded by donations from the community, grants, and corporate sponsors. A $25.00 - $75.00 donation is requested from all mentors and student participants to help with program expenses.
