Turning Strength into Leadership

ywl_girls

Today's teenage girls feel an unprecedented level of societal pressure. From academic stress to peer pressure to wearing the right clothes, many girls feel a persistent sense that they are never quite good enough. Too many of them are struggling with poor body image, low self-esteem and depression. Research shows that seven in ten girls believe that they are not good enough or do not measure up in some way.

The Spirit of Leadership program addresses these pressures head on and strives to empower, educate and inspire a diverse group of young women to become leaders in their own lives and their communities.

Our Spirit of Leadership program helps teen girls develop the confidence, strength, knowledge and skills they need to be successful in four key pillars of leadership:

Leading Self
Leading Others
Leading Your Community
Leading Your Future
