Children’s Expression Sessions

Childrens_Group2nd & 4th Thursdays 6:30pm – 8:00pm

This group is for children 5-11 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Presented in partnership with ARTS (A Reason to Survive) children will create an art project and interact with other children who have lost a loved one. Pre-registration is required. To reserve your child’s seating contact our office at fhf@jennadruck.org or 619.294.8000.

Children grieve the loss of siblings, friends, and parents differently than adults grieve. Providing support and learning to understand how they grieve at their specific developmental stage will help them to express and “be with” their journey with grief after a loss. The Children’s Expression Sessions offer a safe and open environment where children, all who have experienced the loss of a loved one, have the opportunity to enjoy the healing nature of art.
